Leuren Moret
Leuren Moret worked as a scientist at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories and has a BS in Geology at U.C. Davis and an MA in Near Eastern studies from U.C. Berkeley. She serves as environmental commissioner for the City of Berkeley. Leuren was an Expert Witness at the International Criminal Tribunal For Afghanistan At Tokyo. She is an independent scientist and international expert on radiation and public health issues and is on the organizing committee of the World Committee on Radiation Risk, an organization of independent radiation specialists, including members of the Radiation Committee in the EU parliament, the European Committee on Radiation Risk. She has conducted research concerning the impact on the health of the environment and global public health from atmospheric testing, nuclear power plants, and depleted uranium. She has helped collect and measure radiation in 6000 baby teeth from children living around nuclear power plants, and helped The State of Louisiana (USA) pass the first state depleted uranium bill for mandatory testing of soldiers. De wetten van de jungle
Het lijkt wel alsof we terecht zijn gekomen in de jungle, waar andere wetten gelden dan in een transparante maatschappij, waarin burgers op basis van volledig beschikbare en toegankelijke informatie eigen vrije keuzes kunnen maken. We zijn niet vrij om over al dan niet vaccineren te beslissen zolang wij niet goed geinformeerd worden door de Nederlandse overheid, artsen, de farmaceutische industrie en andere spreekbuizen van de overheid. De Nederlandse overheid zwijgt en doet geheimzinnig doet over ingredienten en bijwerkingen van dit vaccin. Het gevolg is dat mensen vragen krijgen en naar sites gaan die het verhaal vertellen dat de minister, de couthino's en osterhauzen over vaccinaties laten liggen door hun eenzijdige informatievoorziening.
Vaccinatie tegen Mexicaanse griep af te raden, voor iedereen. Waarom?

Ineffici?ntie op individueel vlak: het H1N1-virus verandert zo snel dat de antistoffen op het vaccin wellicht niet meer overeenkomen met het huidige virus. Bovendien heeft het vaccin weken nodig om werkzaam te worden en is er een tweede spuit nodig om effici?nt te zijn; tegen dan is de epidemie wellicht al lang over...; 3. Ineffici?ntie op maatschappelijk vlak: de WGO heeft zelf gesteld dat een vaccinatiecampagne een epidemie enkel kan tegengaan indien met een vaccinatiecampagne gestart wordt binnen de 3 maanden na het uitroepen van een pandemie (begin juni). Aan deze voorwaarde is NIET voldaan; 4. Gebrekkige testgegevens. Het uittesten van het vaccin was veel te kort om zinvolle informatie te leveren over de effici?ntie, en, meer nog, over de veiligheid van het vaccin. Over veiligheid op lange termijn zijn er totaal geen gegevens. Over veiligheid bij zwangere vrouwen en kleine kinderen (NB 2 uitgesproken doelgroepen) bestaan er zelfs geen studies; 5. Risico's van het vaccin. Het vaccin bevat tal van stoffen die gekend zijn als toxisch en/of gevaarlijk. - Het vaccin Pandemrix is gekweekt op eieren en bevat daardoor het Avian Leucosis virus, verantwoordelijk voor leucemie bij vogels. Inbouw van het verantwoordelijke gen in menselijk DNA kan geenszins uitgesloten worden. - Het vaccin beval Thiomersal (5μg), een kwikverbinding die zonder meer toxisch is . Daarom werd het product sinds 2000 uit alle vaccins geweerd, maar nu wordt ze terug ingevoerd. - Het vaccin bevat formaldehyde; volgens de WGO is dit kankerverwekkend, allergiserend en teratogeen (misvormingen bij de foetus) . - Het vaccin bevat squaleen. Bij proefdieren bleek dit inderdaad aanleiding te geven tot autoimuun aandoeningen, vooral arthritis . - Het vaccin bevat polysorbaat 80. - Het vaccin bevat gentamycine. Dit antibioticum kan aanleiding geven tot allergische reacties, waaronder anaphylactische shock. Het risico op anafylaxie wordt explciet in de bijsluiter vermeld (zie bijlage) - Vals positieve uitslagen op HIV en hepatitis C zijn mogelijk na vaccinatie, hetgeen een onterechte behandeling tegen deze aandoeningen kan genereren, met alle gevolgen vandien, niet in het minst op psychisch vlak ! De bijwerkingen vermeld in de bijsluiter bevatten: Zeer zelden: vasculitis met voorbijgaande betrokkenheid van de nieren; Neurologische aandoeningen, zoals encephalomyelitis (ontsteking van hersenen en hersenvliezen), neuritis en Guillain-Barr? syndroom (verlamming). Zelden: neuralgie, convulsies, voorbijgaande trombocytopenie (tekort aan bloedplaatjes); Allergische reacties zijn gemeld, in zeldzame gevallen leidend tot shock. Soms: slapeloosheid, tintelingen, slaperigheid, duizeligheid, maagdarm symptomen (zoals diarree, braken, buikpijn, nausea), jeuk, rash, malaise; veralgemeende huidreacties, met inbegrip van netelkoorts; Vaak: gezwollen klieren, bloeduitstorting op de injectieplaats, toegenomen zweten; rillingen, griep-achtige ziekte, reacties op de injectieplaats (zoals warm gevoel, jeuk); Zeer vaak: hoofdpijn, gewrichtspijn, spierpijn, harde knobbels, zwelling, pijn en roodheid op de injectieplaats; koorts; vermoeidheid; Hierbij dient er op gewezen dat 1) de klinische ervaring met het vaccin zeer pril is en de gegevens dus zonder twijfel onvolledig zijn; 2) nevenwerkingen zoals vasculitis en Guillain-Barr? auto-immuun van aard zijn en dus in wezen ongeneeslijk. De enige "behandeling" is een massieve onderdrukking van het immuunsysteem, waardoor de pati?nt echter ook heel vatbaar wordt voor infecties !

Internet: doorn in het oog van dagbladen
Minister Klink hekelt het dat mensen zo maar zelf gaan nadenken over gezondheid, mexicaanse griep en vaccinaties en zelf op zoek gaan naar informatie op websites over de mexicaanse griep en vaccinaties. Echter, internet is niet alleen een doorn in het oog van de minister, ook in het oog van de gevestigde nieuwskranten. Het is bekend dat de Nederlandse nieuwsbladen kampen met hun inkomsten door teruglopende abonnee-aantallen. Als ik naar mijn werk loop word ik steevast lastig gevallen door krantenverkopers met hun jehova-methodes. Ik weet niet of die tactiek echt helpt om klanten blijvend aan je te binden. Ik vernam dat NRC nu wordt of reeds is overgekocht door de eigenaar van C&A. Ik weet niet wat zoiets kan betekenen voor het nieuwspeil van dat blad. Als een dagblad betaald krijgt door voornamelijk abonnees, dan is er nog sprake van binding met de mensen waarvoor je schrijft. Die binding lijkt nu een beetje te vertroebelen. Misschien is het een idee voor kranten om weer eens aan onafhankelijke nieuwsvergaring te doen?
