To be happy.
The ego: Maybe it doesn't want me totally miserable-that might prompt me to reconsider everything. Just "a mild river of misery,". Just a vein of sadness and impermanence running through even my best times. Just enough to keep me from listening to The Other Guy Who talks about my union with God (and thus people). And definitely not happy. Happy is dangerous to the ego. Happy says separation isn't true.
Thoughts on inner peace.
All things are echoes of (your inner voice thus) the Voice for God. Repeat the idea slowly, just once. Then watch your mind; observe your thoughts. As each thought crosses your mind, give it to the Holy Spirit. Then listen as He gives it back in purified form. What He will do is take your thought and strip away all the egoic elements in it, leaving only whatever light that was contained in it: the love, the kindness, the pure intentions, your desire for peace. For example, let's say the thought you give Him is "I'm running out of time to get this task done." The purified version that you receive back from Him might be "I really want to do this right. I want to do right by the people this affects." In other words, you will be giving Him thoughts that are very mixed bags-patterns of darkness interlaced with threads of light. When He gives them back, however, only the threads of light will be left. They will be pure light, and so will reveal the light in you. And you will see them come together into a single, perfect thought, which will shed its blessing on everyone.
No sin.

The mind that accepts attack cannot love. That is because it believes it can destroy love, and therefore does not understand what love is. If it does not understand what love is, it cannot perceive itself as loving. This loses the awareness of being, induces feelings of unreality and results in utter confusion. Your thinking has done this because of its power, but your thinking can also save you from this because its power is not of your making. Your ability to direct your thinking as you choose is part of its power. If you do not believe you can do this you have denied the power of your thought, and thus rendered it powerless in your belief.

haha, nou ik heb hier even geen oordopjes liggen dus kan even niks luisteren.. maar vriend speelt gitaar.. maar we hebben we echt ons geheel eigen genre.. dus ik blijf liever met hem muziek maken:)
