Hello Natalia , Just read your article on loopstick antennae, somewhere on internet (lecture 11 on your much bigger trail). I'm really not into antennae, but I just feel obliged to compliment and thank you for this article: well written, based on so solid grounds... (though still i'm not able to calc a single microHenry for a single circumference x turn for a certain thickness d, number turns N, with ferrite core (off effective permeability???) Etc.. Maybe I should return to my old schoolbooks (or previous lectures of you?). Well... In the end though, I can always measure my things, to get my RF-stuff right. But if it weren't for you to tell me why it is like that, i would be simply lost! Now a question: Why are there never loopstick antennae designs to have multiple ferrite cores and resonant coils, and serially (circular) connecting capacitors between them, and a single pick-up coil on one? Wouldn't it raise the "intrinsic" loop antenna's Q by the multiple? I've never seen this design, so why does this idea not work? Merits? Costs? Phasing of the parts? Material limits?
